I built this site after realizing I was paying $119.88/year to a freemium QR code service just to generate the occasional contact QR. This is a truly free alternative — no logins, no subscriptions, basic analytics for improvement, no saved data. Everything happens locally in your browser with a minimal footprint, fast loading, and full privacy.
This site does not collect, store, or transmit any personal contact information you enter. All data entered in the form stays entirely within your browser and is never sent to any server, including ours.
The contact card QR code you generate is built locally using your device's browser. Once generated, you may download it directly without any server-side processing of your personal information.
On your first visit, a consent banner appears directly below the page header asking whether to enable Google Analytics. The Google Analytics script (gtag/js) is only loaded if you click Accept — if you decline, or simply do nothing, no third-party analytics request is made. Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal are treated as declined automatically and never see the banner. When enabled, analytics data includes:
Your Control: Your accept/decline choice is remembered locally. To revisit the choice later, clear this site's storage in your browser and the banner will reappear on your next visit.
When Google Analytics is enabled, standard analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*, _gid) are used for measurement purposes only. They contain no personal information and are used solely for understanding site usage patterns. When you decline, any pre-existing GA cookies are cleared.
We also use a single localStorage item (ga_consent) to remember your accept/decline choice so the banner only appears once. This value stays on your device and is never transmitted.
When you decline (or your browser sends a GPC signal, or you simply have not yet chosen), the Google Analytics script is never loaded and no data is sent to Google Analytics or any other service. Your browsing is entirely private.
